Where we come from

“In 1913, Lancaster commissioned sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington to cast a fox in bronze for the town’s 150th birthday. It still sits in Centennial Park, three blocks from our front door. The town chose the fox for what it represents: clever, caring, independent, and at home with the wild. We chose it for the same reason.”

Independent

At Home

ask us first.

How far is Red Fox Inn from Santa’s Village?

Santa’s Village in Jefferson, NH is a 15-minute drive from our front door — the closest real downtown to the park. Park at your door, walk to dinner, and be at the gates before the lines build. See our full Santa’s Village lodging guide in the Journal.

Can I park my ATV or snowmobile at my room?

Yes. Our motor-lodge layout means you park your car, ATV, snowmobile, or trailer right at your door. Lancaster permits ATVs on town streets, and the Ride the Wilds network — 1,000+ miles of interconnected trails — is reachable from town. In winter, ask about our seasonal snowmobile package.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. The front desk is open 24 hours, so arriving late is never an issue. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability — call (603) 788-4921 and we’ll do our best.

What can I walk to from the inn?

Polish Princess Bakery, The Granite Grind, Scorpio’s Pizza, Copper Pig Brewery, and the restored Rialto Theatre are all within a couple minutes’ walk. The Mechanic Street Covered Bridge (built 1862) and Centennial Park’s bronze fox are a short stroll.

Is breakfast included?

Yes — complimentary Wayfarer coffee and a continental breakfast are set out in the lobby from 7:30 AM. And the front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, so late arrivals are never a problem.

Do you offer weekly or monthly extended stays?

Yes. Our private Extended Stay units have full kitchens, living rooms, private entrances, and free on-site laundry, with rates that discount by the week and month. Weeks Memorial Hospital is 1.25 miles away — popular with traveling medical professionals.
